I started skiing later in life, just before my 40th birthday, going on a trip with a group of guys who were unforgiving to say the least! I borrowed boots that were too large so found the ground on rather too many times.

However, I got the bug and in following years would ski 2, 3 or 4 times a season, building my confidence and style as I progressed. Although I became (slightly) more fearless, I always felt there was something missing.

Despite many lessons, I never had the real-time feedback and assessment of my skiing that may have helped me build my skills to a higher level.

Sooo, I was on Instagram and saw an ad which caught my attention for Carv. As an avid skier and part-time geek, I was immediately interested and decided to make the investment come what may (and expecting to be disappointed).

"Even on my first run, the feedback and detail on how I was skiing was perfect."

Even on my first run, the feedback and detail on how I was skiing was perfect in helping me concentrate on improving my skills. I found out what I needed to work on for my edge angle, balance, turn length and more.

By the end of the day I was hooked and instead of booking an instructor for the remaining days, I took off alone and had the best skiing experience ever

Hungry for more and hungry to improve quickly, I think about being on the slopes most days. When I get out there I practice my technique, as learned from Carv, most days of the week. I can’t wait to go again this winter, COVID permitting so I can really get those angles sorted!
