Carv Pass Terms

Your Pass period will be based on the Pass chosen either at purchase or in the Carv portal. You can change or cancel your Pass at any time in the Carv app or by contacting us.
You will receive a Pass Code after purchase. To link your purchased Pass to your Carv account, please type this into the Carv app after making an account.
Your Pass will automatically activate when you first ski. The renewal date in our systems will update when your Pass has been activated. If not activated through usage, your Pass will be automatically activated on the 30th April 2025 or 100 days after purchase, whichever comes later.
Thereafter, the fees for your Pass are billed in advance and are non-refundable. At the end of your Pass period, your plan will automatically renew for a Pass period equal to your prior Pass period unless you amend or cancel your plan.
The manager of the Pass is able to make changes to their subscription, either through the Carv portal in the app or through the Customer Success team. The email used to make changes to your plan needs to match the original billing email address; edits cannot be made without confirmation from the manager of the plan, through the original billing email.
Passes are not transferable; if gifted, we recommend the receiver purchase their own Pass once the gifted Pass expires, if they wish to manage their plan. We are unable to make changes to gifted Passes, without the approval and confirmation from the plan manager (through original billing email).
Retail or Gift Activation
If you purchased Carv via a retail store or where the gift option has been selected, your Carv unit will come with a Pass Code in the instruction manual. This code is non-replaceable and single-use. Your membership period will start from the time that you use your Pass Code.
Payments
Payments are made in advance for each Pass period and can be made using most major credit card providers. When you purchase a Pass, you agree that Carv, using its payment processor, can initiate a payment or a series of payments on your behalf while subscribing to one of Carv's plans.
Payments are made when first subscribing to the chosen plan and automatically when the Passp renews, i.e., at the start of the next Pass period. The amount due is determined by the Pass period chosen.
Late or missed payments
Carv, using its payment processor, will automatically attempt to charge your payment method when your Pass period renews. If a successful charge to the payment method fails, for instance, due to insufficient funds or bank declines, we will perform 4 additional attempts to charge the payment method over a period of 9 days. You will be notified at each failed attempt and encouraged to update your payment method.
If all payment attempts fail, your paid plan will be suspended.
Payment disputes
We will not exercise our rights under "Late or missed payments" if you are disputing the applicable charges reasonably and in good faith and are cooperating diligently to resolve the dispute.
Cancellation
You may amend or cancel your Pass at any time. Your Pass will end once you have completed your Pass period. During this time you will retain access to the Carv features as part of your Pass. Thereafter, you will lose access to detailed Ski:IQ data, on-snow coaching, and leaderboard placement. Previous payments made towards your Pass period are not refunded.
Changes in pricing and fees
We may change the pricing and fees for the Passes and the Carv Services at any time or impose additional fees or charges. Such changes will not be effective until the first billing cycle that occurs more than 30 days after our new pricing or fees have been announced by Carv.
Carv may offer additional promotions or discounts related to Passes from time to time. Please read the details of those offers carefully, as any additional terms presented to you during the signup process will form part of these Pass Terms. Unless specified in writing, all discount offers that require a payment are non-refundable. Any free trial or other promotions must be used within the specified time frame of the trial or promotion. You may be required to have a valid payment method on file in order to initiate a free trial; in this case, if you do not cancel before your free trial ends, your account will be converted to a paid Pass and will be charged in accordance with these Pass Terms.
Return and refund information
You can return Carv any time from initial purchase within 100 days for a full refund of both hardware and pass costs. When outside of our Returns Policy, all plans are non-returnable and non-refundable.
Abuse
Carv reserves the right to investigate, suspend, and terminate accounts that are circumventing or are attempting to circumvent Carv’s per-user pricing model.
