Marketing Manager (Performance)

About Us

Carv is creating a new category of sports technology. We are redefining the way skill-based sports are taught with cutting-edge hardware, real-time audio instruction, AI-driven data analytics, and content curated by the best instructors in their industries.

Carv was launched in 2016 with a record-breaking Kickstarter campaign. The smart inserts retrofit to any ski boot to measure your pressure and motion as you ski. Data is then processed by your smartphone to deliver a breakdown of your technique in our app and turn-by-turn coaching through your headphones. After just 3 years on the marketing we have become the biggest ski school in the world by hours taught.

As a new brand with incredible technology and a lot to prove (alongside the visual appeal of skiing), Carv is a marketer’s dream. To date, we have created the fastest growing Youtube channel in the industry, won hundreds of SERPS #1 pages, and created a powerful paid social funnel.

The Role

We are looking for an ambitious Marketing Manager to lead the performance marketing and drive D2C growth for the brand.

Your role is to understand our customers better than anyone else in the organisation and create powerful marketing that speaks to them. You’ll be working with the content team and marketing channel roles to execute a world-class growth strategy for Carv.

One of your top priorities will be leading performance marketing (you will need prior experience in this space), defining creative and audience strategy, driving efficiency of CAC, CPC and spend. Your other priorities will be in shaping strategy. You will be defining our personas, researching how our customers are reacting to Carv and hunting down more efficient channels to reach them. You will also be responsible for improving the positioning of the membership.

You will need to be someone who obsesses over the customer. You will also need to be a natural optimiser, someone who can dream big and make bets on our next marketing play. We are a small organisation so you need to be hungry to drive efficiency with every bit of your marketing budget. You will need to be experienced in measuring and analysing your experiments.

You will be managing a team including the Brand Manager and Content Manager.
