Carv is creating a new category of sports technology by redefining the way skill-based sports are taught with cutting-edge hardware, real-time audio instruction, AI-driven data analytics and content curated by the best instructors in their industries.
Our first product focuses on skiing and was launched in 2016 after a record breaking Kickstarter campaign. Carv’s smart inserts use novel sensing technology and manufacturing processes to measure pressure and motion. Data is then processed by your smartphone to deliver turn-by-turn coaching through your headphones and a breakdown of your technique in our app. We’ve shipped 30,000 units to date and are doubling production every year to keep up with demand.
We are looking for someone to ensure that the product is shipped and delivered efficiently, building a world-class logistics supply chain as we continue to scale and cement our leading position in digital coaching.
About the role
Our logistics operation has grown significantly more complicated as we increase our reach into markets across the world. We are therefore looking for someone with an analytical and forward-looking mindset to optimise our downstream logistics and ensure our customers receive the best possible experience and service when they purchase our product.
Working with the rest of the Operations team, your mission will be to ensure that our product is shipped to customers on time and as cost efficiently as possible. This will be focussing on our direct to consumer and business to business sales channels. It will also be a requirement to proactively manage our stock positions in each of our warehouses and ensure we always have suitable availability based on our forecasts.
During the winter season you will be managing a team of interns who will need training and support to run the day to day logistic operations. During the Summer months there will be scope to set up and implement future projects to further optimise the operation. This includes but is not limited to an overhaul of the current process, reviewing our Order Management System, and building and implementing a new stronger training program.
This role will be primarily based in London with opportunities for significant time at our Innsbruck office. We are looking for someone to start somewhere between May and July depending on notice period and personal circumstances.
Your main responsibilities:
Ensure our direct to consumer and business to business shipments are delivered on time and in full.
Proactively manage our stock positions in each warehouse.
Manage the analytical reporting of stock, exchanges, warranties and returns.
Scope and implement future improvement projects to further optimise our logistics supply chain as we grow.
Train and task-manage a team of interns in the winter season to support the day to day operations.
Own the relationship with our main logistics partner
Our candidate is someone who:
Is a strong communicator, both with colleagues and with our logistics network.
Is analytically minded, with the ability to spot and solve potential problems before they occur.
Is organised, detail oriented, and comfortable challenging our suppliers.
Has the aptitude to manage a team in the future.
UK. You would be expected to be in our London office for at least 2.5 days per week on average, so could be based partly remotely or full-time in the office (which would be preferred). As required by the Team Lead part of the role in season, there will be the opportunity for a minimum of a month in Innsbruck, Austria, each season, potentially longer.
Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 per annum, depending on experience
