As Carv’s Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's strategic planning, working closely with the VP of Operations and CEO to maintain the financial model for Carv and support the operations team. Your responsibilities include building and maintaining long-term forecasts for various areas of the business, scenario modelling, and presenting information in different formats to inform strategy discussions and investment materials.
About You
You are a proactive and ambitious individual who is passionate about finance and operations. You are detail-oriented, highly organised, and have the ability to grasp complex financial concepts and translate them into actionable plans. Prior experience in financial modelling and forecasting would be advantageous.
Your role will also involve helping the finance side of our SME R&D tax relief claim, managing the day-to-day administration of finances for UK and US entities, and liaising with our external Financial Contractors and Accountants.
Responsibilities:
Working with the VP of Operations and CEO to maintain the full financial model for Carv.
Building and maintaining long-term forecasts for various areas of the business.
Conducting a monthly financial review of budgets vs actuals and creating reports for all business units.
Managing the registration and filing of sales taxes and global VAT, with the help of local advisors where needed.
Managing day-to-day administration of finances with external Accountants for UK and US entities, including invoice and payment management/tracking.
Supporting the CEO and VP of Operations with investment material from the finance and modelling side.
Keeping track of KPIs and flagging opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance or equivalent experience
Experience with financial analysis and modelling
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, partners, and stakeholders at all levels.
A proactive and ambitious attitude, with a willingness to learn and grow.
Detail-oriented and highly organised.
Accounting qualifications would be advantageous but are not a necessity.
Location
UK. You would be expected to be in our London office for at least 3 days per week on average, so could be based partly remotely or full-time in the office.
During the Northern hemisphere ski season, travel and work in Innsbruck will be possible.
