Who We Are:
Carv is creating a new category of sports technology by redefining the way skill-based sports are taught with cutting-edge hardware, real-time audio instruction, AI-driven data analytics and content curated by the best instructors in their industries.
Our first product focuses on skiing and was launched in 2016 after a record breaking Kickstarter campaign. Carv’s smart inserts retrofit to any ski boot to measure pressure and motion, data is then processed by your smartphone to deliver turn-by-turn coaching through your headphones and a breakdown of your technique in our app.
We are looking for someone who is product obsessed to lead the development of Carv's coaching methodology as we build our leading position in digital sports coaching.
The Role:
As a Senior Product Manager at Carv, you will be directly responsible for the full product lifecycle. You will gain a deep understanding of our very passionate user base through interviews as well as on snow observations. With this knowledge you will derive and execute a product strategy, working with our in house development and data science teams as well as a panel of world class ski instructors to push forward our coaching with the ultimate goal of putting Carv in the boots of 1 million skiers. The product manager is a critical role in Carv and this role presents an opportunity to make a game-changing impact on our sport with lots of opportunity to expand in the role.About You:
We are looking for a user-focused, inquisitive and inventive Product Manager with a proven track record of solving real customer problems and achieving tangible business outcomes. You should have a strong understanding of the user-centred design process, competent in agile delivery and experience executing this in a fast paced startup environment. The ideal candidate is excited about the opportunity to help shape the future of digital ski coaching and enjoys working collaboratively with internal and external experts to reinvent how people learn to ski. Responsibilities:
- Work closely with your UX Design counterpart and other team members to ensure a visually appealing and user-friendly experience is created for our users
- Participate in and run user testing and observation sessions (remote as well as in person on the mountain)
- Participate in and facilitate ideation sessions that contribute to the overall product strategy
- Manage the in-house development team to ensure work is shipped quickly and to a high standard.
- Report on the performance of key initiatives to the leadership team and wider business
Requirements:
- 4+ years product management experience
- Experience working on native iOS and Android applications
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Highly organised and proficient at managing multiple streams of work at once
- Passion for skiing and commitment to personal improvement in the sport (beginner skiers welcome)
Location:
Our main offices are London and Innsbruck, but we have a flexible working policy, allowing you to be located where you wish provided you can commute to either of these locations at least once per week.

During the Northern Hemisphere ski season, travel, work and use of the company accommodation in Innsbruck will be possible.
Remuneration
- £65k - £75k depending on experience
- Employee options scheme (equity position)
- Option to work from Innsbruck office and use of Carv’s accommodation
- International work travel to US, Canada & Europe (expenses included)
- Season Pass + you will be encouraged to ski
