Here's your tailored plan. Let's see how skiers at your level progress their skiing with Carv...
We recommend the Daily Pass
The Daily Pass is the best deal at your level for the number of days that you ski each season.
It works for advanced-level skiers like you who want to maximise each day you get on snow without instruction getting in your way.
Select the Daily Pass here or read on to understand how Carv works in more detail.
- The Daily Pass is structured as a renewing membership with your chosen number of days.
- After purchase, you'll get an activation code giving you year-round access to Carv's off-snow training content.
- To use Carv on-snow, start recording a session each day you want to use your Daily Pass.
Your days can be used any time within a 365-day window after purchase.
Advanced skiers improve with Training Mode
Many advanced skiers feel like they're plateauing because they're not sure where to focus next. But at your level, subtle improvements will make a big difference to your skiing.
Our advanced-level members improve the fastest with our Training Modes, especially with our new Train with an Olympian mode, developed with Ted Ligety.
You'll work through 40 levels, focusing on 4 core metrics which form the foundation of great carving - Edge Similarity, Outside Ski Pressure, Early Edging, and Edge Angle - with advice from Ted along the way.
Technique Teardown
Here's how a run summary looks for skiers of your level in the Carv app.
On your next ski trip, you should be thinking about how you keep developing your Balance and Edging.
Being able to balance throughout the turn is a hallmark of great skiing. It's not just about being 'forward' at all times.
To achieve better edge hold, move your weight to the front of your skis at the start of the turn.
As you approach the end of the turn, shift your weight slightly back to maintain grip in the tails of the ski and avoid 'washing out'.
The best skiers demonstrate good edge similarity, where both skis tilt through the turn at the same angle.
To improve your edge similarity, imagine you are skiing with a bubble between your knees.
Try to stop the bubble from popping whilst also moving the bubble from side to side as you edge your skis.

Tip no.1
Develop your carving
Carv's new Train with an Olympian mode is one of the most-used modes by advanced skiers.
It guides you through the 4 key skills that will develop your carving turns and help you get your hip to the snow.
You'll pass each level when you ski at least ten turns in a row above your metric targets. And you'll get tailored audio and video tips from Ted at the side of the run and on the chair, so you know what to focus on.
Tip no.2
Find your edge
The edges of your skis are designed to find grip in the snow and help you to turn. But learning to lean into the turn and trust your edges takes practice.
With the Edge Angle Monitor, you'll get an audio readout of your Edge Angle on every turn as you ski, so you can experiment with movements based on tips you've received, and instantly know when your changes are working.
Example Edge Angle Tip:
"Use your skis to create a supportive wall in the snow. The more firmly this wall is in place, the more you can balance sideways against it."
Tip no.3

Carv Ambassador and APSI Level 4 instructor Tom Gellie shares his three top tips for skiing the tough stuff.
