We're incredibly excited to announce Ted Ligety as our new Carv athlete and coach.
Ted has spent his career changing the game in ski racing, with two Olympic golds and five world championships under his belt. Ted has now partnered with Carv to develop the most personalized carving program ever created.
Carv is a digital ski coach powered by state-of-the-art sensors that fit in any boot, and give you real-time audio coaching to help you improve your skiing.
By putting Carv in Ted's boots, we could analyse what sets him apart. If we could deconstruct his turn, we could combine it with Carv's real-time coaching tools to change the game for everyone.

Train with an Olympian combines Ted's lifelong pursuit of technical perfection with Carv's objective data analysis to bring you a program like no other.
You'll build four skills in sequence, and start to really turn heads on the snow.
- It starts with edge similarity, teaching you to manage the inside ski.
- Then you'll learn to create outside ski pressure - building a platform for arcing the ski.
- As you advance, you'll develop earlier edging - the skill that put Ted on the map.
- Finally, you'll learn how to increase your edge angle and turn heads on the snow.
Over 40 levels, Ted's training will push your skiing to the limits. Do you have what it takes to match Ted's turn and get to the finish?
- Train with an Olympian starts with a personalized skill assessment that finds your right starting level.
- Each stage focuses on a different skill, with real-time audio feedback on every turn.
- If you get stuck, you'll get advice from Ted himself to coach you to the next level.
Ted has set increasingly challenging benchmarks for each skill. Can you hit them all?
- As you ski, each turn is scored against your target metrics.
- If you meet the metric benchmark, you'll hear a ping.
- Pass 10 turns in a row to move up a level.
Stuck on a level? You'll be guided through the levels with in-depth coaching interventions:
- Audio tips - tailored advice written by Ted to help you level up.
- Gifs - to help you quickly understand the movements to focus on.
- Video tips - with a longer, visual explanation from Ted of how to level up.
