The 2021/22 season marked a triumphant return to the slopes for many
skiers across the world. We doubled down on our mission to help our
members improve on and off the slopes, so you could savour every
moment back in the mountains.
Follow along as we dive into our review of a
record-breaking season of improvement, and share the success
of our biggest community of Carv members yet.

kilometers
This season, Carv members skied a total distance of
over 2.1 million kilometers.
That's the equivalent to skiing
round the world over 50 times. Way to go, Carvers!

turns
Our community is growing fast, and this season you made a record
number of turns!
Carv has witnessed and remembers more turns than even the oldest and
wisest instructors on the slopes, and
every turn you make helps to build better coaching for all
our members.

tips given
This season Carv members have received a total of over
1.4 million skiing tips from Carv. That's a whole lot of
“athletic bananas” and “pouring wine glasses”!
Thanks to everyone who rated our tips, helping us to improve them
every season.

This one means a lot to us. We've come a long way since our first app release back in 2017, and we're humbled to see so many of you improving with Carv.
This season we introduced some of your favourite features; off-snow training videos, Personalised Focus Areas, and the Turn Ski:IQ™ Monitor.
We're excited to keep pushing your off-snow training throughout the summer, and to share our coaching developments to keep you improving next season.

Our Community

You achieved
your dreams
We're overjoyed to share the story of Luca De Angeli, who passed his Aspirant level Swiss Ski Instructor's exam this April.
He said Carv was “improving my skiing with a coach and alone”, as he trained all season to achieve his instructing dream.
Luca is not done yet; he's one step closer to receiving a full ISIA (International Ski Instructors Association) certification.

You kept carving,
even when the
snow stopped
The season coming to a close was not enough to stop Carv member Koyanagi Keisuke from improving more!
When the snow had melted, he strapped Carv to his skates to see how high he could push his scores.

It was a real pleasure to meet so many of you at our Carv member events and webinars, to which 3,090 of you signed up.
Some of our members even held local in-person meet-ups in resorts as far apart as Stubai Glacier, Austria and Alta Badia, USA.

You improved with
off-snow training
This season we looked for new ways to help you learn and
improve even when you're away from the snow.
We were delighted to see 3,894 of you have been
sweating and flexing to Tom Waddington's new workout
series, exclusively available in the Carv app.

Carv joins forces
with the PSIA
We are delighted to be working with one of the biggest and most respected ski schools in the world, the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA).
This partnership will help us to accelerate the development of our skiing analysis technologies, scale our in-app training content for Carv members, and continue to produce the highest quality coaching videos for our YouTube audience.

Finally, a huge
thank you!
We want to say thank you to our incredible community of
members, testers, ambassadors, and early backers for your
support this season.
Your feedback and drive for improvement keeps us striving
to provide better coaching every year.
We know that ski improvement doesn't just stop after one
season, so we're constantly working to improve your
coaching, metrics, and training content.
This is still just the start of our journey; we're
incredibly excited to show you what we've got in store
over summer and into next season.
Catch you on the slopes,
Jamie and the Carv Team
