Frequently Asked Questions
Please send all feedback, questions or other comments to our dedicated testing email address, testing@getcarv.com, and one of the team will be back in touch as soon as possible to answer any questions.
The new hardware will still sync with the app and provide exactly the same data as your existing hardware.
The primary change in this generation of hardware is electrical improvements to improve charging and battery life and minor adjustments to the motion sensor to improve robustness when subject to shock or vibration. As such, your Carv data will be unaffected.
No - the motion tracking capabilities of the new hardware remains unchanged, so you can use the full range of features in the Carv app with the new hardware.
No - whatever hardware you have already been supplied with as part of your Carv membership will remain covered by the same warranty that was given when you purchased it.
However, the testing hardware will not be covered by a warranty guarantee. This means that if it breaks, we will not guarantee a replacement.
In such a case we would potentially replace the hardware in the interests of continuing testing while allowing our team to debug the problem in greater detail - but this is not guaranteed.
We will be monitoring your data remotely, so we hope to be able to contact you as soon as we notice any issues. If problems do arise, you will have a dedicated email address to contact us.
If there are issues with the hardware, we may want to arrange for it to be returned to us for more detailed analysis. In such cases we will arrange return shipping at no cost to you.
We hope to be able to replace any hardware that has issues during the testing, but due to limited stock, this may not be possible.
We are only making a small production run for testing purposes at this stage. With the hardware in short supply, we unfortunately have to limit the number of users involved in the test.
This means that if your friend or family member has not already been selected for testing, we unfortunately cannot include them in the program.
We are currently working with our manufacturing partners to finish the hardware as soon as possible. Our current target is to have them available for shipment in late February or early March 2025, which should mean you will receive them in March. You will be receive a shipment notification as soon as the hardware is sent to you.
