Carv knows when you are skiing and monitors the movement of each foot with 35 live metrics. These metrics included very precise measurements of the angle, rotation, pressure distribution of each foot.
These data are used to compare your turns against professional benchmarks (Level 3/4 ski instructors) so Carv can assess your technique for four skills:
- Balance (forward/back lean)
- Edging (edge angle, similarity and more)
- Rotation (rotary smoothness and similarity)
- Pressure (outside/inside ski, smoothness and more).
Carv identifies the skill that's holding you back.

There are four modes you can choose from when skiing with Carv:
Free ski mode - This mode tracks your skiing and analyses your overall technique to give you a Ski:IQ™, with audio feedback and tips once you get on a lift.
Training mode - There are 4 drills, with 20 levels to complete for each, with real time feedback delivered through your headphones.
Challenge mode - Push your boundaries and improve particular movements, with a number of skiing challenges.
Monitor mode - Hear a live direct feed for a specific metric on every turn. These metrics as some of the most important for achieving a high Ski:IQ™.

We're sorry if Carv has not worked out for you for any reason. We offer hassle free returns within 100 days of delivery of your Carv unit. Once we have received your return, we will process your refund including any membership fees that were paid upfront.
You can request either to return your Carv unit, or to exchange it for a different size by filling out this form.
You will be responsible for the cost of return shipping. We request that your Carv is returned in the original packaging if possible.
Once your return is received we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. It may take up to 14 days to receive the confirmation email and to see the funds in your account.
Our estimated shipping times are as follows (excluding remote areas)
USA - Courier: USPS or DHL - Delivery: 1-3 business days
Canada - Courier: Canada Post or DHL - Delivery: 1-5 business days
South America - Courier: DHL - Delivery: 3-6 business days
UK - Courier: UPS or DHL - Delivery: 1-3 business days
Europe - Courier: DHL - Delivery: 1-3 business days
Australia/New Zealand - Courier: DHL - Delivery: 5-6 business days
Ireland - Courier: DPD - Delivery: 1-3 business days
All other countries - Courier: DHL - Delivery: 2-5 business days
Ukraine/Russia/Belarus: Due to carrier restrictions we can no longer ship to these countries

Carv does not require an internet connection to record runs.
Internet is required to connect to the server so that your runs are saved and visible from your activity page . By going to “Settings” > “Data Syncing”, you can choose whether you want your activity data to be synced using mobile data or only when connected to Wifi.
