The Role

As a designer at Carv, you'll play a critical role in shaping the digital ski coaching experience by working on the challenge of automating instruction. You'll be responsible for creating visually stunning designs and user interfaces to help enhance the skiing experience of our customers. It doesn’t just stop at visual design though, you will also have the opportunity to design the Carv Voice experience as well as the way a user interacts with the Carv Hardware. You will collaborate closely with the Senior Product Manager and other team members to ensure a seamless and visually appealing digital experience.

You have a strong understanding of user-centred design principles and are able to create visually appealing and functional designs that resonate with our target audience.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with your Senior Product Manager counterpart and other team members to create visually appealing and user-friendly designs for our digital ski coaching platform

  • Run user testing and observation sessions (remote as well as in person on the mountain)

  • Participate in and facilitate ideation sessions that contribute to the overall product strategy

  • Develop and maintain a consistent visual identity across all digital touchpoints

  • Create user interface designs, prototypes, and design assets for the development team

  • Collaborate with developers to ensure design implementation is consistent with the original vision

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in graphic design, UX/UI design, game design, or a related field

  • Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and experience

  • Proficient in Figma or willing to transition from Sketch/Adobe Suite

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Passion for skiing and commitment to personal improvement in the sport (beginner skiers welcome)

Location

Our main offices are London and Innsbruck, but we have a flexible working policy, allowing you to be located where you wish provided you can commute to either of these locations at least once per week.

During the Northern Hemisphere ski season, travel, work and use of the company accommodation in Innsbruck will be possible.

Remuneration

  • £40k+ depending on experience

  • Stock options

  • Option to work from Innsbruck office and use of Carv’s accommodation

  • International work travel to US, Canada & Europe (expenses included)
