Tailored Plan Intermediate - Daily

95% intermediates improve in 4 days

Here's your tailored plan. Let's see how skiers at your level progress their skiing with Carv...

We recommend the Daily Pass

The Daily Pass is the best deal at your level for the number of days that you ski each season.

It works for intermediate skiers like you who want to maximise each day you get on snow without instruction getting in your way.

Select the Daily Pass here or read on to understand how Carv works in more detail.

 • The Daily Pass is structured as a renewing membership with your chosen number of days.
 • After purchase, you'll get an activation code giving you year-round access to Carv's off-snow training content.
 • To use Carv on-snow, start recording a session each day you want to use your Daily Pass.

Your days can be used any time within a 365-day window after purchase.

Intermediates improve with Training Mode

Most intermediates start by using Free Ski mode, which tracks your skiing and gives you feedback on the chair without getting in your way. But at your level, our members improve the fastest with our more involved Training Modes, like Balance or Carving Training.

With Training Modes, work your way through levels of increasing difficulty. You'll hear a good or bad 'beep' sound if you pass or fail the metric score threshold, and hear personalized advice every time you pull up to the side of the run.

The modes most commonly recommended to intermediate members are Balance Training, Carving Training, and the Outside Ski Pressure Monitor.

Technique Teardown

Here's how a run summary might look for you on the Carv app.

At every technique level, there are key skills to master that will take your skiing to the next level. Two very important skill areas for you are Balance and Pressure.

As you develop your parallel turns, it's important to stay balanced as you make your way down the mountain.

A strong athletic stance is the basis of good skiing. Keep your knees slightly bent and feel pressure on the tongues of your ski boots.

It's also important to keep your feet shoulder-width apart, in line with your hips.

Applying more pressure on the outside ski is going to be the key to controlling your turns on any slope.

As you transition from one turn into the next, try to smoothly shift your weight onto the new outside ski.

Do you think you can lift your inside ski off the snow at any point? If not, then you still have your weight on it.

Carv works in any boot

At 3mm thin, and available in 3 sizes, the Carv sensor fits in any ski boot (including in custom boots and with custom insoles).

Our members have installed Carv in a wide range of ski boots. Find your boots using this interactive chart.

We guarantee you'll find your perfect fit with Carv, or we'll refund your whole purchase.

Tip no.1

Start of Turn Balance

Getting forwards at the start of the turn is essential to developing your parallel skiing, and will give you the confidence to direct your skis more easily.

Balance Training is a favourite of intermediate skiers on Carv. You'll work your way through levels of increasing difficulty with 'beeps' to keep you on track and tailored audio tips.

Example Balance tip:

"Through your turns, feel a gentle pressure between your shins and the tongue of your ski boots, and centre your weight over your toes, while keeping your knees slightly bent."

Tip no.2

Outside Ski Pressure

What separates advanced skiers from intermediates? One key differentiating skill is Outside Ski Pressure.

Try the Outside Ski Pressure Monitor to get an exact reading of your pressure on every single turn. You'll get a live readout as you ski, so you can hear what's working as you make changes.

Example Outside Ski Pressure tip:

"Keep your shoulders completely parallel with the slope by imagining you have a ski pole taped across your shoulders. Keep the ski pole parallel to the slope."

Tip no.3
